Wedding day, oh wedding day.

You cant get here quickly enough.

We've decided on small ceremony in Seattle, to be followed by an elaborate honeymoon. I mean, come on here, this is the only BIG time (anytime SOON) that Bryan and I can be completely focused on each other.

I expect a total of, I dont know, say 20 people AT MOST. I DO think that we will have an engagement party. This way, all of our friends and family in Texas that wont be able to go to the wedding can come out and see us and whatever else happens at engagement parties.

Here are a few little pictures I've been collecting.

I liked flowers in the center of the table. Also, this kind of color coordination I like.

Cute little invites...above and below.

Little cake topper.

I thought this dress was really pretty, and looked comfortable!

Green Inspiration part 2...and 3 and 4 and 5

I think I would like these little babies better if they didnt have that background. Just two little paper people. I might work on making some of these to see how they turn out. Whether or not they'd be fancy enough for me.

I like the way they designated reserved seating. The perfect color, and just a nice little detail.

The bride and groom at this wedding wrote quoets on the back of little pieces of paper with their last initial on it. I thought that would be a perfect way to tie up napkins, and share some of our favorite insights with our guests.

Aw, this program is just beautiful is all.

Cant you just see these shoes peaking out from under a pretty white dress? I think i might opt for green shoes ladies and gentlemen!

This is awesome. Inside is a cd that bride and groom made for their guests. That is absolutely what I said I wanted to do! I really liked the presentation, the cd being in the tin, and the graphic on the front is very pretty :)

At this wedding tables were named after the couples favorite cd's. I thought this MIGHT work, as far as table names go, but I wouldnt want it on their cards. Alllllsssssoooo, I might just go with different parts of Seattle for table names, we'll see.

I really like the graphic on this card. I think i might do something similar, have a bold graphic background on BLACK, and then the name and table on a smaller top piece of paper.

I thought it was cute how they used the stem to keep the name in place. Pretty adorable.

I guess I just really like the fruit idea. Know to figure out how to use ALL these ideas....sheesh!

I love this bouquet. I want something that cascades down like that.

This little guy is the perfect look. It's not busy, and it's the perfect color.
I am going to try to incoporate this bee into as much of the wedding stuff as I can. There will be two of these little guys on everything! Envelopes, maybe invitations, programs, etc.

Green Inspiration

THis cake, is freakin awesome. I mean, i really really like the color!

I like this as a cake topper. Really I'm having trouble working my way though all these figurines that dont really look like myself or like Bryan...

This little baby cake topper really is adorable. I dont mind it too much at all.

Brainstorming.

I'm pretty set on the idea of giving a charitable donation in leau of excessive wedding favors. Our guests will recieve trinkets, but those will probably end up being hand made or something so super cute I just had to have it.

Since we will be making our own reception playlist, and I have to say it will be MAGNIFICENT, I think we will burn cds for all the guests as a wedding favor. Music is an important part of both our lives and I know our mix cd would be the perfect way for our friends to remember our wedding day. Also, you can always play a good cd right, it's not going to just sit on a shelf.

And my idea for save the dates is simple. I want seeded paper. This way, when you recieve your save the date, you can write that date into your calendar, and then PLANT the save the date card. Just plant it, and it will sprout wildflowers and last as long as you continue to take care of it.

Botanical Paperworks makes wedding favors that are use seeded paper. I am either going to BUY the favor, and USE as a save the date, OR buy the seeded paper in bulk and make them myself. In order to decide which would work better, I'm going to practice this weekend with REGULAR paper, so I can see how much would be wasted (to determine which option is the least expensive). I dont want it to look TOO homemade though, so I'll need to be objective about it, and not be a penny pincher if the homemade ones dont pan out.

Figure A

Figure A : Here is an example of the premade wedding favors/save the date. I'm concerned about this design because the DATE is so small. And the point of the entire thing is the date. Sooo....

Figure B

Figure B: These arent bad, but I like the design of the other ones much better than a butterfly. At the same time, I dont MIND the butterfly at all. The price difference is $.66. The ones I like better, with the small dates, is the less expensive of the two.

More cake inspiration!

oh boy do i like the flowers in between the layers! I"m not sure we'll need THIS many layers, but its something to think about.

This cake is so neat. I like that it is colored blue. Blue is one of our colors and I think it just looks kinda...vintage I guess. For whatever reason, this cake really pleases me!

This one is my favorite of the three. The vibrant colors match ours and I love the idea of using real flowers. Now, i still like that cake from a few posts back with the airbrushed grass. Maybe I can figure out a way to mix these two.

Flowers

So the legend is that brides carried bouquets of flowers because back in the day people didnt shower much, so the flowers were used to make her smell pretty on her wedding day.

SO following tradition, I am not going to shower for weeks before the wedding.

JUST kidding, but here are some flowers i think are really pretty.

Ps, 364 til we are WED!

These are pretty and a bit traditional looking.

This arrangement is very different from ones I've seen before. It's so PRETTY. and I feel like I'll probably go with a style much this.

This bouquet has our wedding colors in it, and I love the various shades of blue and green. I've got alot to think about!

A more accurate depiction

Keep in mind, I have told Bryan the colors I want, but it's not as though he's said "I 100% approve". But after coming up with these colors *we talked about it a little* I noticed that our house, and wardrobes, are filled with these same colors. :)

Brass Tacks

I think this is an idea that will stick with us.
This wedding favor is a note from the couple explaining that on behalf of their guest, a donation has been made to a charity (or charities) of the couples choice.

Bryan and I both want to start setting aside money each month to donate to charity. We both feel really inspired to help those with less opportunity than we do. I think our friends and family would feel much better knowing that their presence at our function rewards someone in need. It's better than mints.

On the same turn, I also really like these little tea favors. i'm sure they would consumed or tucked away by those who like to collect, either way, i think they are cute and a good addition to the general theme that's coming

Reception

So Bryan and I decided that for our reception there will DEF. be food, so there would need to be place settings, centerpieces - all the fancy stuff. Well, not wanting our wedding or reception to represent anything but US and who WE are, I think this is looking like a pretty good option.

This little cake is soo cute!!!! It incorporates grass just the way i'd like *instead of that weird clumpy grass icing*. Nix the butterflies though, I'd probably chose something else. Bee's. :)

This is the centerpiece inpiration. I LOVE the wheatgrass and am about 90% sure that's what we will chose. The little sticks poking up with name cards is the most unique idea and i really just cant get over how much i LOVE this setting!

Just a little more of the wheatgrass name plates/card holder. I guess we could have a few sticks with photos from the wedding attached (since it will have happened a bit beforehand).

Inspiring young minds.

"not sure the designer, sorry"
This dress is pretty and the sash can be almost any color. Problem - Strapless....BUT the general idea is nice.

"Alvino Valenta"
I guess i like the "tulip" look. I love the straps on this and the dress has it's own shape which I just think looks so ...fancy, i dont know. it's clean, simple and crisp looking and I would LOVE to get married in this dress.

"Henry Roth"
I find this neckline to be very flattering! It satisfies my flowy factor and the empire waist!

"Jim Hjelm"
Okay, I take it back, I'd DIE if this dress looked good on me and I could get married in it! It's so beautiful from the frilly sleeves, to the curves it accentuates and still floates away from the body. LOVE IT!

"Kirstie Kelly"
I think this dress is made for Disney. Well, it is strapless, but I dont think it would cost much to have a dress maker fix that. Empire waist, which i LOVE, and completely flowing and whimsical looking. Hippie bride central! This is one of my favorites... I really have a hard time finding a favorite...

"Rosa Clara"

This dress is basically the same as the disney one, with different material and a different sort of cascading affect with the layers. Very pretty and the perfect template.

So what do we think?

Lacey Dress

"Galina Signature Illusion tulle halter trumpet gown"

This dress is really beautiful. Once again, it has straps ( a MUST, I'd hate to see Bryan cringe when I show up in a strapless dress) and the fact that they are lacey and see through is a positive for me. I also like how it hugs the body because lets face it, I'm not going to be able to fit into those kinds of things FOREVER!

99% sure

Without being 100% sure, we are pretty set on the idea of being married in Hawaii. We arent confined to a certain island although we are aiming for Oahu, Maui, and Kauai (cause i think it sounds neat to say).

The Annabelle

I havent yet decided on whether to wear a short or long dress. Bryan has always imagined a long dress, and I could have both really. A long one for the ceremony, and a short one for the reception with friends and family.

This dress is by J. Crew and called the 'Annabelle gown' and I really like it. It's itallian linen (which is light, like i wanted) and is just clean simple lines.

The decoration at the top of the dress gives it that extra something, making it more than just a shift. ha.

Wedding Hair!

This is the first style I REALLY like. Of course it's Trin from what not to wear (the british version) and I'm NOT suprised that she is the one with this fabulous hair. I'd want mine to be 2% less messy looking, but definite inspiration in this one.

So I kinda like modern beehives, but I also am going to want to show off my long luxurious hair! :) So this hair is really appealing to me. Dressed up of course, but perfect to not only have hair our of my face, but also to be able to wear it down.

If I could morph this style with style 1, I'd be a happy girl. THis has a neat shape and is pretty glamours looking, no?

Well I've gotta go. Bio-Dome just came on and I really need to watch it. :)
